Цель урока: Активизировать речевую и познавательную деятельность учащихся, систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Shopping In Britain».
Задачи урока:
Образовательные:
Семантизация лексических единиц по теме «Магазины»;
развитие аудио- фонематических навыков учащихся;
развитие умений учащихся оперировать известными понятиями,
составлять высказывания с помощью опор;
контроль усвоения изученной темы.
Развивающие:
формирование способности и готовности вступать в иноязычное общение;
развитие различных видов памяти (вербальной, образной), внимания, коммуникативности, воображения;
развитие мыслительной деятельности, умения переноса знаний в новую ситуацию;
Воспитательные:
показать значимость умения решать коммуникативные задачи через диалог;
расширение кругозора, творческих способностей учащихся;
воспитание коммуникативной компетентности учащихся.

T: You know we buy different things in different shops. On your desks you can see the pictures of products. Will you remind me where you can buy sweets (milk, fish, bread, meat, sugar etc.). Come to the blackboard and fix it to the right department.

Great! As far as you remember the topic of our lesson is “Shopping in Britain”. London is a big shopping centre. There are a lot of big departments and supermarkets. Look at the pictures and comment them (5 types of shops). Here we can see the map of famous shops in London and their names. Say what streets are Harrods, Selfridges, Liberty, Marks and Spencer, Harvey Nichols situated.

I will divide you into three groups. Your task is to read your part of the text and be able to retell all the rest information.

(1) Harrods is one of the best department stores in the world. In the beginning it was just a small grocer’s shop. It was opened in 1849 by Charles Henry Harrod. Later his son added (добавил) medicines and perfumes, sweets, flowers and fruit departments. Over the years, Harrods survived (выжил) a fire, two World Wars and two bombings. In 1983 Harrods opened its branches (отделения) in Japan and later in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan and in many European cities.
(2) Today about 35 000 people visit Harrods every day. It has got 330 departments. About 4000 people work there. It has got its own fire brigade, doctors. Harrods is the official supplier (поставщик) of goods to the Royal (королевская) Family. The store has got 19 bars and restaurants, a bank, a travel agent’s and the biggest hair and beauty salon in Europe.
(3) January and July are very busy months for Harrods. They are sale (распродажа) times. More than 300 000 people visit the shop on the first day of sales. Many people sleep outside (возле) the store all night to be the first when the doors open on the first day. Harrods is well-known in many places of our world. It’s the best of British quality (качество), service (обслуживание) and style.
