The Emperor’s new clothes (Form 4)
Цель: создать условия для формирования навыков связной речи посредством выполнения серии заданий коммуникативной направленности.
Задачи: обеспечить содержательные и организационные условия для развития у учащихся умений работы с текстом; содействовать формированию у детей навыков работы в группе, в парах ; способствовать воспитанию у учащихся интереса к изучению английского языка через использование игровых технологий и занимательный характер урока.
Оборудование: учебник, тетрадь, презентация, иллюстрации к сказке, записи на доске(дата, тема), картинка «король», награды – «медали», карточки с заданиями, индивидуальные задания (см. Room 3).

Постановка цели урока.
Today we are going to the country of fairy-tales. Do you like them?
What fairy-tales in English do you know?
Today we’ll learn one more fairy-tale. We’ll go on a trip with a special guest. Who is that guest you will learn later. At the end of the lesson we’ll find the message. But to get it we must work hard. We will read the fairy-tale and do a lot of tasks. And if you do your best you will get the prize. Are you ready to start? Let’s go!

Look at the pictures and say the Russian name of this fairy-tale.
Who is the main character of this story? So the guest of our lesson is the Emperor. And the topic of the lesson is “The Emperor’s new clothes”. The Emperor invites you to his rooms in his palace. Each room has a special task for you.
Room1 – Pronunciation room. We must say the words correctly. Let’s try to read them together.
Emperor, cloth, clothes, cheats, magic, says, invisible, great, days and nights, ministers, shout “Hooray”, a stupid boy, start talking quietly, right.
Room 2 – Reading room. We’ll try to read the text but not just to read. You must read it expressively. Imagine that you are at the Emperor’s radio station and you must read the fairy-tale to all the children of the Kingdom.

Room 3 – English equivalents room. In this room you’ll work in pairs. Your task is to find English equivalents in the text. But ___ will have special tasks (do the crossword, correct the mistakes).

Individual tasks:
1)Correct the mistakes.
She wears a yellow shoes. He wears a sweater red. I like this boots. It’s the most cheapest dress. What would you like? – I like that scarf.
2)Write who says that.
“The boy is right. ________ We can make magic cloth for you. _________ “Hooray!”_________ “Sorry. He’s a stupid boy.” ___________
“I want it! I can buy it!” _________ “Look! He’s got no clothes!” ____________
Room 4 – Rest room. If you have the clothes I name bend your knees, if you don’t just run. Then wink 10 times.
Room 5 – Text making room. This time you will work in two groups. The Emperor asks you to put the sentences in the correct order.
A little boy looks at the Emperor and says “Look! He’s got no clothes!”
One day two cheats come to the palace.
The cheats work days and nights.
People clap their hands and shout “Hooray!”
They say they can make clothes from magic cloth for the Emperor.
The Emperor puts on his invisible clothes and walks in the city.
Finally the clothes are ready.
People say that the Emperor hasn’t got any clothes but he walks and walks.
Room 6 – Dialogues room. The Emperor wants you to make short dialogues using the prompts.
Cheats: Would you like to have new одежда?
Emperor: Sure. Are they дешевый?
Cheats: No, they are дорогой, because they are волшебный.
Emperor: Why are they magic?
Cheats: Because they are невидимый.

Emperor: You are глупый!
Boy: No, you are stupid. you haven’t got any новый clothes!
Emperor: My clothes are волшебный.Fools can’t see them!
Room 7 – Questions room.

Домашнее задание – the short retelling of the text. Для слабых детей – the expressive reading of the text.
