1. Greeting

-Good morning, children! How are you today?

-Take your seats, please.

- Today we will learn interesting things about one of the famous city in the world and how to spend time there.

b) Duty’s report

-Who’s on duty today? Who is absent today? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today?

c) Phonetic Drill. Before beginning our lesson let’s read a poem:

Sightseeing in London.

Forty cameras clicking, clicking,

Stamps on twenty postcards sticking.

Doing London in a day,

Seeing all and then away.

First the Thames and then the Tower.

Lots of time — another hour!

1. Checking up home task

-What was your home task for today? Are you ready for the lesson? Let’s check up.

(Children will read their article about lakes)

-Look at the pictures and say what is it?

Now we repeat the names of London's sights. Listen to me and repeat after me.

-While watching a video, complete the word map with words from the box.

-Did you understand a video? Well, let’s do some exercises:

1. Make up questions

Children prepare questions to their opponents about London.

-Open your books on p.39. ex 1 Look at the email. Who is sending? Who to? Where is Laura?

-Complete the email with phrases a-f. Listen and check. Then read the text aloud.

1. Conclusion. Giving marks

-Children, let’s do an article about London. Take your posters and make up your own journal.

1. Giving home task

-Your home task will be ex 4 p39. You are spending a week somewhere in Kazakhstan. Write an email to your English pen-friend. (50-70 words). Follow the plan.

-The lesson is over. You are free. Goodbye.
