Aims

To develop functional literacy through using role-playing

Objectives

1.to practise and systemize adjectives and nouns of measurement, vocabulary on places of town, means of transport and grammar covered

2.to give definitions to the words students have learnt

Results

Students are able to give information about the city they like for a tourist brochure

Announcing objectives of the lessons and dividing pupils into 3 groups with the help of pictures: means of transport, adjectives, places of town.

For creating a collaborative atmosphere, students say each other positive adjectives: Saltanat, you’re fantastic today…

Pupils in groups write as many words as they can according to their theme. After 1 minute they rotate paper and add another group’s words. G1-means of transport; G2- adjectives (describing places); G3-places of town
