Holidays
Task 3. You are going to give a talk about your school holidays. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10–12 sentences). Remember to say:
when you have school holidays;
what school holidays you would make longer, and why;
what you enjoy doing during your school holidays;
what your attitude to school holidays is.
You have to talk continuously.
-I’m going to tell you about my school holidays. We have four school holidays during a school year. They are: summer, autumn, winter and spring holidays. Summer holidays are the longest. They last three months – June, July and August.
Spring holidays are rather short and I’d like to make them longer because all the students are very tired at the end of the school year. The second reason is that the third term is the longest.
During my school holidays I love walking with my friends, reading books and watching films. In winter I enjoy skating and skiing when the weather is fine. In summer my favourite pastime is swimming in the river or sea and lying in the sun. I also like playing different sports games.
As all the students I love my school holidays. I always look forward to having fun during them.

Travelling
Task 3. You are going to give a talk about travelling. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10–12 sentences). Remember to say:
why people like travelling;
what means of transport is the best for travelling, and why;
what places in Russia you would like to visit;
what your attitude to travelling is.
You have to talk continuously.
-I’m going to tell you about travelling. People like travelling for many reasons. First of all, travelling is cool! Travellers can learn new things and meet interesting people while travelling. Secondly, they want to go sightseeing and see local landscapes. One more reason for travelling is tasting local dishes and collecting souvenirs.
The best means of transport for travelling, in my opinion, is a car because you can stop anywhere you like. You can even sleep in your car if there is no hotel nearby. To my mind it’s the cheapest way of traveling.
As for me, I’d like to visit the most beautiful city in Russia - St. Petersburg and see the Hermitage, one of the world’s largest museums, the Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospect and Petergof. I hope I’ll visit these places soon.
I’m fond of travelling. It’s my favourite pastime during my school holidays.
