Цели урока:
-образовательные: обобщение пройденного материала по теме «Holidays and Celebrations.»; практиковать учащихся в аудировании страноведческого текста «Mother’s Day in America», в целях понимания основного содержания и извлечения необходимой информации; практиковать учащихся в устной разговорной речи по теме;
-развивающие: развитие умений диалогической и монологической речи на английском языке; развитие умений аудирования (воспринимать на слух и понимать живую речь собеседника, с пониманием основного содержания и извлечением необходимой информации, опираясь на догадку и контекст), развитие умений чтения и письменной речи, развивать умение работать коллективно и самостоятельно
- воспитательные: воспитание у учащихся чувства толерантности, уважения к родной культуре и культуре стран изучаемого языка, воспитание самостоятельности, воспитание интереса к языку как средству общения, воспитание самокритичности и ответственности.
Задачи урока:
-формирование навыков устной речи путём создания ситуации беседы, диалога;
- закрепление группы лексики по теме; использование знаний грамматического характеракак дополнительного метода формирования правильной речи

- Do British people send their mother’s postcards?
- Russian people celebrate Women’s Day on the 8th of March. It’s a wonderful holiday. My father gives me and my mum flowers and presents.
- British people celebrate Mother’s Day on the 26th of March.
- Mother’s Day is on 26 March. People visit their mothers and give them flowers and small presents. If they cannot visit their mothers they send a “Mother’s Day cards”. On this day husbands and children help with the meals and washing up.
- British people send their mother’s postcards with the words:
“ Love you, Mummy very much
So here’s a great big kiss
For the nicest person in the world-
The one who’s reading this!”
