Look at the white board. You see the advise on keeping fit. Look through and tell which advice could you follow? Can you add some more advice to this list?

The main part of the lesson

Reading

Learners read and translate three paragraphs. Each paragraph is about a different country. Then they match these countries to the correct paragraph.


Vocabulary ( new words)

Learners write down new words from the text



Speaking

Teacher ask questions.

  • What helps you to indicate the countries?

  • What reasons are given for taking exercise? What other reasons can you think of?

  • Which country do you think has the healthiest attitude to exersice and which has the least healthy attitude?

  • What’s the attitude of your country to keeping fit?

Learners discuss the questions.

Grammar

Teacher explain the new grammatical material, Suffixes that are used to form different parts of speech. ( nouns, verbs, adjectives)

Working with new grammatical material

Ex.4, on p.26. Complete the chart. There are some spelling changes.

Ex 5, p.26. Complete the sentences with one of the words from ex. 4.

Pupils complete the chart in their copybooks.
