«Sport in our life»

Цели урока:
Активизирование речемыслительной деятельности учащихся.
Развитие всех видов речевой деятельности через проектную методику.
Формирование потребности практического пользования языком.
Развитие самостоятельности, способности осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия.
Воспитание потребности выражать свое мнение и способности понимать чужую точку зрения.
Повышение интереса учащихся к занятиям спортом, к здоровому образу жизни.
Задачи урока:
Обобщить, закрепить и систематизировать пройденный материал по теме «Спорт»
Развивать лексико-грамматические навыки говорения.
Расширять знания о наиболее популярных видах спорта в странах изучаемого языка и в своем городе.
Развивать умения пользоваться дополнительной литературой при подготовке проектов.
Уметь составлять план монологического высказывания.
Закрепить умение представлять презентацию по заданной теме.
ХОД УРОКА
T: -Good morning everybody! I’ m glad to see you again! How are you today? Do you remember the theme of our last lessons? What’s it?
Today we continue our work with the projects. What the name of your project?
P: -Football.
T: -What’s the theme of your work?
P: - Basketball.
T: -What are you writing about?
P: - We’re writing about volleyball.
T: - And what about your groups.
P: - Our project work called “Swimming”.
T: All these kinds of sport are the most popular among our students the first courses.
The original plan of all project work:
a) Sport and its Motherland.
b) The history of this kind of sport.
c) The rules.
d) The equipment, sport place, sport team.
e) Fouls.
f) This kind of sport in Russia.
g) International competitions.
h) Conclusion.
T: Our work consists of two parts. Firstly you should make a plan and according your plan you should prepare a short report about your kind of sport. Secondly you will show your presentations. It was your home task. So, discuss your plans, write them and prepare a short report about your kind of sport.
And now I ask you to listen to the students which are going to tell you about the most popular kinds of sport. Girls, you are welcome.
P: We’ve studied the opinions of our students about sport. The question was: “Write down 5 kinds of sport which are the most popular for you and grade them according to how exciting or boring you think they are.”
P: “We had out that average percent of football fans is 35 percent. There are 20 percent of basketball fans among the first course. Swimmig fans are approximate to 25 percent. And about 20 percent of students are volleyball fans. According these facts we have chosen 4 kinds of sport which are the most popular: basketball, football, volleyball and swimmig.

P: We also found out that some boys who are interested in football. We had an interview with them and now we offer it to your attention.

P1: What kind of sport do you go in for?
P2: Football.
P1: Why have you chosen this kind of sport?
P2: Football is my favourite game.
P3: There are many football stars such as Ronaldo, Buffon, Neymar, Messi and many others. I always wanted to be like them.
P1: What’s the name of your football club?
P2: “Fakel”. It’s a sport football team for children.
P1; How long have you been going there?
P3: For 4years.
P1: How often do you practice?
P2: Four times a week during four hours.
P1: How often do you go to the football competitions?
P3: We take part in the competition each Sunday.
P2: We play The Tournament “Leathern Ball” once in two months. Regional Primacy and Primacy of Russia we play once a year.
P1: What prizes and awards do you have?
P3: We have medals for the first, second and the third places. Our team has many cups.

T: What’s this?
P: These are the sticks for basketball fans. In April there was a basketball championship among women teams in Tomsk. Two excellent women teams from Tomsk and Kazan were fighting for the champion medals. There were many basketball fans on the tribunes, which supported their favourite team by tapping like this. This red T-shirt, vest and a little red fox are the symbols of the team from Tomsk. That game was so exciting! Sport helps us to keep our body strong, active and fit. And it also makes our personality disciplined, organized and optimistic. Fortunately sport is getting more popular in our country.
P: Basketball is our favourite sport game, so we would like to explain and show you some of the main rules of this game.
Students show some fragments of basketball rules with a ball and a basket, such as: throws with one or two hands, dribbling with one or another hand.
T: Let’s discuss your work
P: We like to play volleyball very much.
We love this game, because it has simple rules. It is necessary to ground the ball in the opponent's half of the teams. Volleyball develops agility and arm strength, responsiveness and attentiveness. Those who plays a lot of volleyball, has well-developed coordination of movements. To tell the truth we prefer team games because we like feeling support of our partners in such games. Volleyball is our favorite sport. We enjoyed the atmosphere of competitions and the sweet taste of our victories. Sometimes we lost, of course, but we tried to accept our defeat with dignity. And now when summer comes we often play beach volleyball. We really can’t imagine our way of life without sport. We like regular training. It keeps our body healthy and young.
T: Would you like to tell us about swimming?
P: Swimming is a very popular competitive sport. It is included in the Olympic Games and there are also many other swimming events. They include diving, marathon swimming, swimming, synchronized swimming and water polo. We love swimming very much, so we go to the swimming pool three times a week which brings our great joy. Swimming boosts our spirits, strengthens our immune system and makes us healthier. It’s no secret that we use practically all the muscles of our body when swimming. It makes a person flexible and athletic. Speaking about swimming in Russia, one of the most popular sport is synchronized swimming. We like it, because the girls of the team are beautiful and technical. Russian team usually has a great success in synchronized swimming competitions. We watched the competition during the Olympic games in august in 2016. Our girls were great and they won the gold medals. They are Nataly Ishenko, Svetlana Romashkina, Mariya Shurochkina and others. We are proud of them. Quite a lot of people go regularly to swimming-pools. And it goes without saying that watching sports events and doing sports are not the same things at all.
