A SCHOOL FAIR
Look! It is Woodside School. When the school year is over, the children have an unusual day. It is the day of their school fair. The children are outside in the school field. Lots of visitors come to spend the afternoon there.
There are lots of things to buy. The children have baked cakes and made sweets. They are delicious. Other children sell their books and toys to their friends.
There are games to play. You can win a prize. Throw a ring over one of the toys! Or if you are strong, try to ring the bell with a big hammer.
Some children are dressed as clowns. They play the guitar and sing songs. People give them a lot of money, and the children put them in their hats.
You can buy ice-creams and balloons. You can have a ride on a pony or jump on a trampoline.
Everyone has fun and helps to make lots of money for their school.

Present Perfect и Past Simple
Времена Present Perfect и Past Simple оба переводятся на русский язык прошедшим временем, в связи с этим начинающие часто не понимают, когда использовать какое время.
Если коротко, то главная разница между Present Perfect и Past Simpleзаключается в следующем:
Present Perfect: действие произошло в прошлом, без уточнения, когда именно, важно не само действие, а его результат в настоящем.
Past Simple: действие произошло в определенный момент в прошлом.

Two friends
Once upon a time there lived two mice. One of them lived in a big city. Her name was Minny. Minny’s friend lived in a village. Her name was Maggy. One day Maggy decided to visit Minny. She went to the city by train. She saw many beautiful houses, shops, parks and squares, there were a lot of buses, cars, trams and trolley-buses in the streets. She got to Minny’s house by bus. Maggy was glad to see her friend. “Do you like to live in the city?” Maggy asked Minny. Minny said, “Oh, of course, I like the city. There is a lot of to eat corn and cheese but there’s a big black cat in the Kitchen of every day. the house where I live”. Then Maggy had an idea, “Let’s buy a TV-set for the cat. He likes to watch TV”. Minny liked the idea. They went to the shop and bought a TV-set.
Every day the cat sat down to watch TV and the mice came to the kitchen to eat corn and cheesе.

Moscow Zoo
1. Tigers, monkeys, snakes and fish in the centre of the Russian capital! These animals all live in the Moscow Zoo, one of the largest in the world. 2. First, visit the Animal Island. There you can see the Amur Tigers, the white snow leopard, the Himalaya bears, the Asian lions and even an Australian emu. There you can also see colourful fish in large aquariums.Don’t miss the Night World exhibition too. This is a great chance for you to see the night animals.
3. All the young visitors must see the Children’s Zoo. Children can see the heroes of fairy-tales: the three piglets, the wolf and seven young goats and many other animals. There are also cafés and picnic areas. Kids can visit playgrounds. You will not forget the day in the Moscow Zoo!

Dear Joy,
How are you? It’s my birthday next Saturday and I’m having a party at my house. Why don’t you come? We always have a great time!
I usually decorate my house with a lot of colorful balloons and we all play some great party games. Then there is the food. My mother is a great cook and she makes a lot of delicious food. We usually have pizza with ham, bacon, mushrooms and peppers, ham and cheese or tuna sandwiches and different kinds if salads.
