“My friends”

Цель: совершенствование навыков говорения, чтения и восприятия речи на слух. Введение новой лексики, повторение построения вопросов: общих и/или специальных, вопросов к подлежащему.
Задачи:
Развивающие:
развивать логическое мышление, языковую догадку, память, внимание;
развивать навыки устной речи по теме;
развивать навыки работы в группе, умение слушать и слышать партнера.
Воспитательные:
воспитывать потребность выбирать друзей по положительным качествам личности;
повышать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка;
Образовательные:
практиковать учащихся в устной речи, стимулировать их желание общаться, высказывать свое мнение на английском языке;
отработать навыки восприятия речи на слух и чтения;
ввести новую лексику, практиковать употребление новых выражений на уроке.
Тип урока: комбинированный.
Методическое оснащение: учебник, доска, компьютер, карточки с заданиями.
I. Начало урока.
T: Good afternoon, children. Sit down, please. Today we have a lesson which is not quite ordinary. Children, I want you to determine the topic of the lesson yourselves after listening to the poem.
Friends share secrets (friends don’t tell).
Friends share good times (and bad as well).
Friends share things with one another.
That’s because friends like each other.
Of all the happy things there are
friends are the very best by far.
T: So, children, what is the topic of our lesson?
P1: Friendship.
T: You are right, our lesson is devoted to one of the greatest human feelings – friendship. That is why the topic of it is “Friends and friendship”.
II. Основная часть урока. Работа по теме урока
T: Let’s read the poem from exercise 1a, page 55.
P2: Read the poem.
T: Do you agree with it? What is the best thing about friends? What do you share with your friend?
P3: Yes, I do. I agree with this poem.
P4: The best things about friends are they share secrets and don’t tell somebody.
P5: They share good times and bad as well, they share things with one another.
T: Great! I see that you understand the poem without translation very well. But there are some new words in this topic? And you should write them down in your vocabularies. Look at the board? You may see there the translation of these words. The first phrase is be there for someone – быть рядом, поддерживать, call names – обзываться, fall out – ссориться, get on – ладить, дружить, have in common – иметь что-то общее, share – делить(ся).
llI. Работа с учебником
T: Your next task is exercise 2b, page 56 you should read the letters below and find out what kind of friends the children have.
Pupils read the letters and translate them.
T: Good. You cope with this letters and now let’s answer the question: What kind of friends do the children have?
P2: The first person is Mark Antony. His friend is his granddad. They’ve been friends since he was a baby. They have a lot in common. I think it’s cool.
P3: The second person is Rimma. Her friend is computer. It’s an ideal friend for her, because her classmates are not interested in reading or studying. They think that Rimma is boring and often call her names. In my opinion, it’s sad. People shouldn’t call names even if you are boring. It’s wrong.
T: Excellent. I am very glad that you express your opinions. And what can you say about the last one?
P4: The third person is Tony. His friend is horse. He’s had him for three years. They have a lot in common, e.g. they both enjoy long walks and love apples. They are best friends.
T: Fine, next task in order to fix our new words is 2c, p.57. You should match the definitions below with the words in bold.
a) to have the same interests, ideas as smb else;
b) to be no longer friends with smb;
c) to use bad words about smb;
d) to be good friends with smb;
e) to give some of yours to smb;
f) to be near if smb wants to talk or needs help.
Key: a – have in common, b- fall out, с – call names, d- get on, е – share, f- be there for .
T: Now let’s do ex. 3a, p.57. Write down the date in your exercise-books. You have only 3 minutes for this task. (Pupils work)
IV. Физкульт минутка
T: I see that you are tired, therefore stand up, please. Let’s do exercise for your eyes!
Look at the window, look at the door, look at the ceiling, look at the floor, look around and around. Fine. Sit down, please.
V. Работа в группах
T: Now I give you an interesting task. But first you should make the small groups of three. (Pupils share on the small groups) In your group appoint a Writer, a Grammarian and a Speller. Make a list of questions Mark Antony, Rimma and Tony answer in their letters. Then write them on the board. You have 4 minutes for this work.
Pupils make a list of questions, after put all the questions together on the board.
T: Good, now let’s all together correct the grammar and spelling mistakes. Well done!
VI. Рефлексия
Did you like our lesson? What did you like most? Were the exercises difficult for you?
Our lesson is over and I want to summarize and to tell you about your mark.
(Pupils get marks for their work and teacher comment them).
VII. Домашнее задание
Assign home task.
T: Your task for the next lesson is ex. 5a, p.57. Write about your friend. Choose at least 3 questions on the board to answer. Remember: to answer at least 3 questions, to use new vocabulary, to check for grammar and spelling mistakes, to make your writing clear and interesting. Thanks for the lesson. Bye
